At Inspired to Sew, we offer classes, supplies, and everything you need to pursue this creative art. If you own a sewing machine or plan to purchase a new one, we can help you learn how to use it so you can take advantage of expert tips and techniques.

Driving Directions

We're conveniently located near the intersection of Collins Road and Interstate 380 at 1000 Marion Road Northeast. You'll find our shop just southeast of Noelridge Park and Harding Middle School.

From Marion and other points north:

• Take C Avenue NE toward downtown Cedar Rapids.
• Turn right on Old Marion Road NE.
• Our location is about a half-mile down on your right.

From Kirkwood and other points south:

• Take I-380 N/IA-27 N toward Cedar Rapids.
• Take Exit 23 and merge onto 42nd Street NE.
• Bear left onto Old Marion Road NE.
• You'll see our location almost immediately on your left.

From Martelle and other points east:

• Get on IA-100 W in Marion.
• Turn left on C Avenue NE toward downtown Cedar Rapids.
• Turn right on Old Marion Road NE.
• Our location is about a half-mile down on your right.

From Covington and other points west:

• Take IA-100 E.
• Turn right on F Avenue NE.
• Turn right on Old Marion Road NE.
• Our location is about a half-mile down on your right.

Our shop strives to create a strong sewing community in Cedar Rapids. At our special sewing retreats, you can take time away to work on your craft, complete a special project, and enjoy a getaway with creative people and inspiring ideas. You'll have access to your own space for sewing as well as private accommodations and meals. As part of the Kimberbell Certified Shop Group, we have access to the manufacturer's exclusive product lines and special brand events. We sell handmade quilts through our Stitches for Hope program that beautify local homes while supporting charitable initiatives in Cedar Rapids and surrounding areas.
