Larger items such as Sewing Machines, Furniture, Chairs, Luggage and Ironing Systems have a freight intensive shipping charge. This charge is a flat rate added to the sale price. This price does NOT include insurance. Freight Intensive charge only applies to the specific product, does not apply to rest of the items in your cart. Shipping Providers

Economy Shipping - We ship most orders using USPS, however, we reserve the right to use an alternate shipping method if we decide there is a better way to get your precious order to you.

We want your order to arrive safe and sound, so we always take extra care when packaging up your special little bundle, before it heads out to it's treasured spot in your sewing space.

United States Postal Service (USPS) orders should be delivered in 4-8 days for Domestic shipments.  However, USPS delivery times are not guaranteed. If insurance is desired on any shipments, please contact us prior to finalizing your order, and we can make adjustments to your order to cover these additional expenses.

Standard Shipping – Orders using this shipping service are sent via USPS, Priority Mail, UPS or FedEx. These shipping services will take a standard of 2-4 business days from shipment date. If insurance is desired on any shipments, please contact us prior to finalizing your order, and we can make adjustments to your order to cover these additional expenses.

Express Shipping - Orders using this shipping service are sent via Priority Mail Express, UPS or FedEx Next Day or 2 Day. These shipping services will take a standard of 1-2 business days from shipment date. If insurance is desired on any shipments, please contact us prior to finalizing your order, and we can make adjustments to your order to cover these additional expenses.

Shipping Insurance - Shipping rates include default insurance rates only, if purchasing a high value item and wanting to add shipping insurance to cover the full replacement value of the product, please contact us prior to shipping to arrange for this additional service. All additional insurance coverage fees are the responsibility of the customer and must be paid prior to shipping.

International Shipping & Handling Fees
Please Note: We are not responsible for the receipt of internationally shipped items.  If tracking or insurance is desired on any shipments, please make a note of this in your order details, and we will send a separate bill for these additional shipping preferences.

Sales Tax & Customs Details

Orders placed from or shipped to addresses in the state of Iowa will have a 7.0% sales tax added.  International orders may be subject to custom duties and taxes.

Shipping Insurance Claims Policy

At Inspired to Sew, we take great care in packaging and shipping your purchases. In the unlikely event that your order arrives damaged, we will work with you and the shipping provider to help facilitate a shipping insurance claim.

If you need to file a claim for a damaged product, please be prepared to provide the following documentation:

• Photos of the outside of the shipping box, including any visible damage
• Photos of all packaging materials used inside the box
• Photos clearly showing the damage to the product
• Any additional information requested by the shipping provider or insurance carrier

For certain products, a diagnostic evaluation at a local authorized repair facility may be required to verify the condition of the item and determine the extent of the damage. Any diagnostic fees or evaluation costs will be the responsibility of the purchaser.

Please note that shipping insurance claims are handled through the shipping provider and may take up to 90 days to resolve, depending on how quickly Inspired to Sew receives all required documentation and how long the carrier’s review process takes.

Important Claim Requirements:

• All damage claims must be initiated within 7 days of shipment delivery.
• Claims submitted after this timeframe may not be eligible for review or reimbursement.
• Customers must retain all packaging materials and damaged items until the claim process has been completed, as the shipping provider may require inspection.
